VP SEO - Social Cards
For every front-end page, VP SEO outputs a complete set of OpenGraph and Twitter Card tags so your links render as rich previews across social platforms.
What gets output
- OpenGraph:
og:title,og:description,og:type,og:url,og:site_name,og:locale,og:imagePRO addsog:image:width,height,type,alt. - Twitter Card:
twitter:card(large image),twitter:title,twitter:description,twitter:imagePRO addstwitter:image:alt. - Article meta:
article:published_time,article:modified_timePRO addsarticle:author,article:section,article:tag.
Image rules
- Use a raster image (PNG/JPG) at 1200 × 630. SVGs are skipped automatically because Facebook, X and LinkedIn don't render them.
- Image priority per article: Social Image PRO → article intro image → global Default Image. The first non-SVG candidate wins.
- Always set a Default Image so pages without their own image still get a card.
Social platforms cache aggressively. After you change a title or image, use a debugger (Facebook Sharing Debugger, X Card Validator, or opengraph.xyz) to force a re-fetch and preview the result.
